DREDGEDISK: DATA INTEGRITY PROTOCOL & SERVICE TERMS
Effective Date: March 31, 2026
I. DATA INTEGRITY PROTOCOL
DredgeDisk is engineered as a non-custodial system utility. We provide the forensic logic required to optimize your device storage, but we do not maintain a digital link to your personal information or file contents.
The Localized Processing Mandate
DredgeDisk identifies and facilitates the removal of obsolete APKs, residual app fragments, and temporary system caches.
- Storage Interface: To perform these operations, the application requires "All Files Access" (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE).
- Zero-Cloud Architecture: Every byte of data analyzed during a scan is processed strictly on your physical hardware. We do not possess the server infrastructure to upload, mirror, or index your file names, folder structures, or private documents. Your device is a closed vault.
Technical Ecosystem & Third-Party Interaction
To ensure software stability and monitor distribution logistics, DredgeDisk interfaces with specific technical service layers. These platforms process technical metadata, not your personal files.
- Firebase (Google): We utilize Firebase for real-time crash diagnostics. If the app fails, a pseudonymized technical packet (e.g., hardware model, OS version) is generated to help us resolve the fault.
- Attribution & Growth Platforms (e.g., Adjust, AppsFlyer): These tools identify the commercial channel through which you discovered DredgeDisk. They process device-level technical identifiers such as your Advertising ID (GAID or IDFA).
- The Firewall Rule: These partners are contractually barred from accessing your local storage or correlating technical metadata with your real-world identity.
Legal Foundation for Data Handling
Our limited interaction with technical metadata is grounded in:
- Contractual Necessity: Local analysis of your storage is the essential service you have engaged us to perform.
- Legitimate Interests: We process pseudonymized technical IDs to protect the application from fraudulent activity and to evaluate our global operational reach.
User Sovereignty & Data Rights
DredgeDisk recognizes your absolute authority over your digital presence through the following rights:
- Right of Knowledge (Sharing & Selling): You have the right to know if your data is shared or sold. DredgeDisk does not sell, rent, or monetize your personal or file data. Sharing is strictly limited to the technical operational partners listed in Section 2.
- Right of Access & Rectification: You may request access to, or the correction of, any inaccurate or incomplete technical data held by us or our partners.
- Right to Erasure (Deletion): You can request the total deletion of your data. Uninstalling the app instantly purges all local scan history. For technical logs held by partners, our DPO can facilitate a purge request.
- Right to Lodge a Complaint: You are explicitly entitled to contact a regulatory authority or data protection supervisor in your jurisdiction if you believe our data handling violates legal standards.
Retention Lifecycle
- Local Operational Data: Information regarding redundant files is ephemeral; it exists in volatile memory during an active session and is cleared upon task completion.
- Technical Telemetry: Non-identifiable data held by third-party partners is retained only for the minimum duration required for aggregate reporting—typically 12 to 24 months—before being permanently anonymized.
Choice & Non-Participation (Opt-Out)
- Blocking Data Sale/Sharing: While we do not sell data, you can stop technical sharing by enabling "Limit Ad Tracking" (iOS) or "Opt out of Ads Personalization" (Android) within your system settings.
- Permission Control: You may revoke storage access at any time through your device settings, which will instantly terminate all application functionality.
Data Protection Officer (DPO)
We have appointed a DPO to safeguard our privacy standards and handle all user inquiries.
II. END-USER LICENSE AGREEMENT (EULA)
Grant of License
DredgeDisk grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the software on a single device for your personal maintenance, subject to these terms.
Acceptable Use Restrictions
By utilizing DredgeDisk, you agree not to:
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or derive the source code of the scanning logic.
- Use the application to intentionally interfere with system-critical files required for device stability.
- Modify, redistribute, or commercially exploit the software in any form.
Intellectual Property
The DredgeDisk name, branding, and proprietary algorithms remain the exclusive property of the developer. No ownership rights are transferred to you under this license.
Disclaimer of Warranty
DredgeDisk is provided "AS IS." While we strive for absolute precision, we do not warrant that the application will identify every piece of redundant data or remain entirely free from technical errors. Users are responsible for reviewing items flagged for removal before confirming deletion.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DredgeDisk and its creators shall not be liable for any accidental loss of data, performance issues, or indirect damages resulting from the use or inability to use the software.
Termination
This agreement is effective until terminated by you (via uninstallation) or by us. We reserve the right to revoke your license immediately if you violate any terms of this EULA.
